The Journal of Societal Impact of Internet Communities and Social Media is a peer-reviewed journal that aims to provide a platform for researchers to share their findings on the impact of the internet and social media on society. The journal seeks original research papers, reviews, and case studies that explore the effects of online communication, social networks, and digital communities on individuals, groups, and societies. Authors are encouraged to submit original research that advances the understanding of the societal impact of internet communities and social media. The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary perspectives and encourages the submission of papers from researchers in fields such as sociology, psychology, communication studies, political science, and computer science.

The journal welcomes the following types of contributions:

1. Original research articles
2. Extended Conference papers
3. Survey/Review articles, providing a comprehensive review on a scientific topic
4. Fast Communications: Short, self-contained articles on ongoing research, or reporting interesting, possibly tentative, ideas, or comments on previously published research
5. Technical Notes
